Healthy Start is a Sarasota, Florida non-profit that promotes healthy babies by providing education to the community and resources and services to pregnant women and babies at risk. Recent reductions in the county’s general revenue and insufficient state funding have restricted the services necessary to meet growing needs in Sarasota County. This Christmas, young children stepped up to the plate to help babies by contributing hand-painted ornaments to sell at Veggie Magic.
